Training healthcare workers on medical equipment in Africa and Rwanda saves hospitals significant money and resources. Proper training reduces equipment damage, prevents early breakdowns, minimizes consumable waste, and lowers reliance on expensive external engineers. As a result, hospitals can save 100–800 million RWF per year, depending on size, while training typically costs only 10–30 million RWF annually. This makes training a high-return investment, improving service continuity, patient care, and long-term sustainability of healthcare systems.
